Dispute policy

Most jobs go smoothly. When a client and a workshop disagree about a job, either of them can ask our team to look at it. This page explains how that works. It supports our Terms of Service and Refund Policy and does not replace them.

What this covers

You can report a problem on a job once a workshop has been chosen for it (assigned or completed). The reasons you can pick are:

  • quality of the work
  • payment between the client and the workshop
  • no response from the other side
  • being asked to move the conversation or payment off Diemeco
  • something else

What we do

Our team reads what each side wrote, the messages in the conversation about that job, and the job details. We may write to either side for more information. We then record a decision and both sides are told.

The possible outcomes are: in the client's favour, in the workshop's favour, shared responsibility, or no fault found. We add a short explanation.

What we do not do

Diemeco is a place to find each other. We are not a party to the work, and we do not hold or move the money between a client and a workshop. Our decision is not a court order, and we cannot force anyone to pay, deliver or refund.

If you cannot settle it, you may use your legal remedies. Our record of the messages and the decision may help you.

  • Credits and payments for plans are handled under the Refund Policy, not through this process.

What can happen to an account

If a report shows a serious or repeated breach of our Terms (for example fake requirements, harassment, or taking people off the platform to avoid fees), we can warn, suspend or close the account. A suspended account cannot post, unlock, quote or message until it ends. You can write to us if you think we got it wrong.

How long it takes

We aim to look at every report within 5 working days. Complicated cases can take longer, and we will tell you.

Please help us help you

  • Describe what happened in a few clear sentences.
  • Keep to the facts and be polite. Do not include phone numbers or personal details in your report.
  • Do not delete the conversation until the case is closed.

Fake or abusive reports

Reporting is for real problems. Repeated false reports can lead to limits on your account.
